Canada's #PlasticPileup

As Sustainable Development Reporter at The Discourse, I ran an investigation into the risks ocean plastic pollution poses for Canada's environment. The series explored the ins-and-outs of plastic pollution while highlighting how the government has no plan in place to clean up thousands of kilograms of plastic washing onto Canada’s shores every year. Instead, cleanup efforts are left to volunteers who reach a fraction of Canada’s immense coastline.
